An early email from Lily's family:
Cathy,
Lily seems to be settling in quite nicely. She's a bit of a Velcro dog and won't let us out of her sight - I had her in the bathroom with me this morning and had to open the shower door so she could see me.
We have the pellets in a tray for Lily, but she hasn't been using them. She goes to the door and whines when she needs to do her business. She is such a smart dog!
We have a fully fenced backyard (we needed it for the Brittany, who could jump any fence less than five feet high and could also burrow under fences!). Lily seems to love the backyard and is really enjoying burrowing through the snow.
Lily is adjusting to the crate. Last night we let her sleep with our older daughter from 9 to 12:30. Lily woke up whining about 12:30 because she had to go to the bathroom. After she did her business, we put her back in the crate for the rest of the night. She cried for about ten minutes, then went to sleep.
I've noticed Lily scratching behind her ears on occasion but no other scratching.
