Ollie's Page
Ollie lives in Ohio with Diane & Mike.  He is a very bidable, confident, bright dog and Diane is having a good time training him in many activities.  He passed the Therapy Dog test  in Aug 2011 and will be visiting nursing homes, hospitals, and be read to by children.  Along with obedience, she has trained him in agility and they are currently taking a Treibball class. Tracking is next.  He passed the Canine Good Citizen test in Jan 2012.

Part of an early email from Ollie's family:

Hi Cathy,

We just got home from a friends house.  We took Ollie to meet some of our friends that get together for a book discussion on Monday nights.  He is teething so had a little trouble sitting still, but Mike took him out and walked with him and he was just great.  There were 15 people there and Ollie did very well, he made sure that he stayed in contact with us, but didn't fuss and seemed to enjoy the attention.

The vet's appointment was a rewarding experience!!  Dr. Sivula took so much time with us and Ollie will go back to get his Rabies shot in three weeks.  I noticed that Ollie seemed "itchy" so he has a natural supplement that we give him in his food twice a day.  The vet said that it was normal and that it could be grass here being different than in MI.  Also, he is so supportive of giving Ollie healthy food.  He likes a food called Orijen and after he is 6 months old will help me "cook" for Ollie.

It was a wonderful day and of course everyone that meets Ollie just falls in love with him!  Dr. Sivula feels that Ollie would be a good therapy dog!  So next Monday is our first dog training class (of course it is more about people training LOL)  We are looking forward to this experience too!  Really, Ollie is so very smart, oh yes, he now drinks water with no fear at all, and just before I came up to write to you he came up to me and barked then went to his empty water dish!  He lets us know when he has to go out at home by hitting the bell on the door and if we're out gives us a bark.  Thank you, Cathy, we love him and are so pleased!
